The
Plot:
The Halloween parties at
Sterling Benes’ coastal
mansion are the stuff of legend. His carefully-selected
guests can always count on an evening of chilling revelry and
surprises. However, this night—the Halloween of
1949—is different. Benes has just returned from a two-year
stay at an insane asylum, prompted by the sudden departure of his
beloved wife. Although the setting is familiar, it is a very different
Sterling Benes who confronts the eight friends and relatives gathered
for the party. With vengeance in his voice, the host announces that
before the night is done, a murder will occur, and there is no escape
for any of the unfortunate guests!
The action takes place in the mansion of
Sterling Benes, on Ocracoke Island, North Carolina on the night of
October 29, 1949.
