The Plot:
The
NoneSuch Playmakers put a new twist on a holiday favorite, with our
original adaptation of "A Christmas Carol," based on
the classic story by Charles Dickens.
E.B. Scrooge, CEO of Playtime Toys, hates Christmas. E.B.'s office
staff is
being held over on Christmas Eve to finalize his business
agenda.
Snoozing in his office, Scrooge is awakened by spirits
who reveal to him his own miserable existence, his early days as CEO,
his current cruelties, and the fate that awaits him and his staff
if he does not change his ways. Scrooge is faced with his own story of
growing bitterness and meanness, and must decide what his own future
will hold: death or redemption.
The performance is
done in radio style "readers theater" and in compliance with current
social distancing and mask protocols.
