Heirs Apparent — Four
women are called to a remote country house for the reading of the
will of a man to whom they were all connected in different ways. When
none of the family members appear, their suspicions are aroused. The
situation turns deadly when the attorney arrives, armed with more
than just a brief case. Directed by Olivia Jessup.

Beyond —
This
parody of those cheesy 50s Science Fiction films begins with two
big-city reporters arriving in a small New Mexico town to ivestigate
reports of flying saucers. In a series of quick scenes, the intrepid
journalists have close encounters of the weird kind with a succession
of (purposely) stereotyped characters, culminating in a
suspense-filled chase through the skies (with a fourteen-year-old
pilot, no less). Are the flying saucers real? Is an invasion coming?
And why does everyone seem to be eating bugs?
The Ghost in the
Game —
It’s
1959. In the English countryside on a Friday night, two couples
gather at the home of a widowed friend to enjoy a spirited evening of
Scrabble. The game begins innocently enough, but as words are added
to the board the game takes a supernatural turn which may reveal dark
secrets about someone in the house.
Monologues from Fearsome : The Journal, The Shadows, The Mirror, & The Playthings — Interspersed
with the one acts, the Playmakers present three connected monologues
that tell chilling stories of the Whitsend family and the 400 year
old house that cursed their lives. Each monologue takes us into one
of the house’s mysterious rooms, where otherworldly forces await,
and nothing is what it seems.
