Join
the NoneSuch Playmakers for a warm and wonderful evening of holiday
readings and music designed to spark your Christmas spirit. Our tales
include the secret behind of one of the holiday’s most beloved songs; a
poor child’s heartfelt account of his magical Christmas; the true story
of the “Christmas Train;” a personal memory of the true spirit of
giving; the miraculous Christmas truce of World War I; poetry by Ogden
Nash, Edgar A. Guest, Robert Frost and Maya Angelou, and more festive
stories. We even have a Christmas ghost story! The acoustic music
performed throughout our evening is a carefully curated playlist of
songs that provide the perfect soundtrack for our holiday offerings.
“Christmastide” is the perfect opportunity to put aside the holiday
rush, relax and immerse yourself in the centuries-old tradition of
storytelling.
